Can I wrap it? Is it gift-ready?
Yes. Every Growbie comes in its own little printed box, so it works as-is in a stocking or under a ribbon. It's about the size of a coffee mug — stocking-sized.
Will it keep until the big day?
It will. Nothing starts until the Growbie meets water. Keep the box dry and at room temperature and it'll happily wait for its moment.
How long until it grows?
First green sprouts in 3–5 days, a full head of hair soon after, and the first haircut by about day 7. Just water and a bright spot — no green thumb required.
What's a good gift for a 5 or 6 year old?
Ages 3 and up — it contains small parts, so it's not for children under 3. It's a sweet spot for 5- and 6-year-olds (scissors with a grown-up nearby), and grown-ups are very much allowed: it makes an excellent desk pet.
Do I get free shipping?
Orders of $25 or more ship free within the US. A single Growbie ($12.49) on its own doesn't quite get there — the 4-Pack ($39) does, and it ships free. We ship within the United States only.
