End of year gifts for students. Holiday gifts for the class. A birthday treat from one kid to thirty.
From the teacher at the end of the year or before the break. From a parent as gifts for classmates on the birthday kid's big day. Class party favors for the room parent who's done with goodie bags. Sunday school, camp and scouts, too.

Student gifts from the teacher that aren't candy, pencils or plastic.
Student gifts from the teacher, or a treat from a parent to the whole class — either way, it's the one they keep.
Zero sugar, zero wrappers on the floor. Still on the desk next month.
It's alive. It grows. It gets haircuts. Nobody has ever named a pencil.
Thirty little friends on one windowsill. Whose sprouted first, whose got the mohawk, whose needs a trim — it's the best five minutes of the morning for weeks.
Trim after day 7 and it grows back. A class timelapse — one photo a morning — is the easiest end-of-year video you'll ever make.
The whole class grows together. Here's week one.
Real grass, real haircuts. Timestamped, untouched, straight from the kitchen counter. Line them up on the windowsill and compare.

Which one will each student get?
Eight little personalities. Every box is a surprise.

Pick a classroom pack.
16 for a small class. 32 for a big one.

What's in the box
16-Pack: one sealed tear-open display with 16 individually boxed Growbies — two of each of the eight personalities — each with its own clear vase, wick and name card. 32-Pack: arrives as two 16-packs — 32 boxes, all eight personalities. Hand out the boxes; the kids do the rest at home or on the windowsill.

The happy-grow guarantee
Doesn't grow? We send a new one — no receipt, no questions. That goes for every Growbie in the pack, however many there are. How the Happy Grow Guarantee works →
Safety & age
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD — Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
Ages 3+. Adult supervision recommended for trimming. Contains viable grass seed — not for consumption.
Classroom questions, answered.
How much per student?
$6.19 each in the 16-Pack ($99) and $5.28 each in the 32-Pack ($169). Both ship free. That's less than most candy-and-pencil bags, and it's still on the desk next month.
Does it work for 30 kids?
Yes — the 32-Pack covers 30 with two to spare (one for the teacher's desk, one for whoever was out sick). Up to 16 kids, take the 16-Pack. For 17–20, a 16-Pack plus a 4-Pack ($138). From 21 up, the 32-Pack is cheaper than mixing packs.
Are these student gifts from the teacher, or something a parent sends in for the class?
Both, all the time. Teachers hand them out at the end of the year or before the holiday break. Parents send a 16- or 32-Pack in as gifts for classmates on their kid's birthday, or as class party favors for the room-parent party. (Throwing an actual birthday party? That's the 16-Pack party page.)
Can it be delivered to the school?
Yes. Ship to any US address — put the school's name and the room number in the address lines so it reaches the right desk. It arrives in a plain shipping box; nothing on the outside says "surprise". Order at least a week before you need it.
Do you take purchase orders or tax-exempt orders?
Message us before you order and we'll sort it out with you: contact us. (Retailers looking to stock Growbies: that's wholesale, a different conversation.)
Is it messy? What's actually inside?
No soil. The head is fabric filled with a natural mineral and real grass seed, and it sits on a clear vase of water — water only, nothing to pot. The only thing that can spill is water. Ages 3 and up: it contains small parts, so it's not for children under 3.
Do they work as Christmas gifts for students if there's a break in between?
Yes — nothing starts until the Growbie meets water, so hand out the boxes before the break and the kids start them at home. If the class has already grown theirs, they need someone to keep water in the vase so the wick stays damp — check every couple of days, top up when it's low — and a haircut about once a week keeps them going. Left alone over a break with nobody watering, a growing Growbie can dry out, and the happy-grow guarantee covers ones that don't grow, not ones that went thirsty. So either send them home in the box they came in, or ask whoever's in the building to top up the vases once or twice.
What if some don't grow?
Every Growbie is backed by our happy-grow guarantee: if one doesn't sprout, we send a free replacement. No receipt needed, and it doesn't matter whether the teacher or a parent bought the pack. How it works →
Give the whole class something that grows.
Thirty little friends. One windowsill. A gift they'll still be comparing after the break.
